Having a small washing machine cannot only cause you to do more work, but it is also more costly because you have to run the washer multiple times for one load of clothes. Here at LaundroXpress, we provide you with very spaacious, new family sized washers and dryers. We offer a very clean and comfortable space with plenty of chairs, TV’s, and free Wifi! Our goal is to help you get in and out with clean and crisp clothes, without having to spend all day doing your laundry. We understand that the last thing you want to worry about is doing your laundry. Our goal is to make that process as simple and easy as possible.

So what is the average size for Laundromat washers? Washers and dryers come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. We use large family size washers to make sure you can get everything done in one load. They are highly efficient and new machines that will allow you to put clothes through it more than once. No one likes to open the dryer only to realize that the clothes are still wet. LaundroXpress uses only top of the line front-end washers and dryers for larger loads of laundry.

Washers typically measure around 36-42 inches in the barrel, depending on whether the washer is a stand-alone or a sit on top. Sit on top machines usually take up less floor space and are designed to fit into smaller areas, but obviously need more head room to make sure it will fit.  Typically, the washer capacity for compact washers is from 1.7 to 2.3 cubic feet. Medium washers range from 2.1 to 2.5 cubic feet. Large washers have a capacity of 2.7 to 3 cubic feet.

LaundroXpress uses the largest capacity washers and dryers because it ensures that our customers will be able to load all their clothing in one load. This greatly reduces the amount of energy needed and gets you in and out in less time. We use extra-large capacity washers and dryers which have 3.1 to 3.7 cubic feet of space! That is huge! You can fit anywhere from 12-18 lbs of clothes into our washers. The larger the space inside the washer, the better the wash will be because the clothes are not bundled together and have more room to move around within the washer.

    2. Barbara Geraghty says:

My husband just came home from washing a med. to large load of clothes at the laundramat. He never does laundry. He put the clothes in a very large Maytag waher and paid $6.50 and selected a cycle. He called me and said it would take 33 in presoak then said later that the clothes were finished washing in 33 min. Is it possible that the clothes went through enough of a cycle to be really clean in that short of a time?
